TOAMASINA AFTER CYCLONE GEZANI

This is more than a natural disaster. These are human lives.

On February 9–10, Cyclone GEZANI struck Madagascar’s eastern coast with winds exceeding 270 km/h.

Toamasina – our country’s economic gateway – is now living without electricity, without water, without stability.

* 264,000 people affected

* Dozens of lives lost

* Schools, homes, and hospitals destroyed

* Port operations disrupted

* Water contamination ongoing

* The city in darkness

But behind these numbers – there are people.

Children standing in front of destroyed homes.

Mothers protecting babies under temporary roofs.

Fathers clearing debris with their bare hands, not knowing how they will rebuild tomorrow.

This is not only nature’s force.

This is a humanitarian crisis.

When Toamasina stops – supply chains stop, jobs stop, income stops, food security is threatened. The entire country feels it.

Our Vanileco team is on the ground.

From the first day:

* organizing transport

* delivering food and essential supplies

* identifying the most affected families

* coordinating real support within communities

We have already begun documenting families who have lost their homes – to ensure that aid is real, transparent, and reaches those who need it most.

This post is not about business.

It is about responsibility.

If you are reading this and can help – now is the moment.

Urgent needs:

* clean water

* food supplies

* temporary shelter materials

* roofing sheets

* medical support

Every contribution means a real roof over a child’s head.

A real bed instead of rubble.

Real hope for a family.

Our elders say:

“Poverty is not the curse – the real curse is refusing to help.”

We choose to help.

If you would like to contribute, please contact us directly.

We will coordinate support transparently and responsibly.

Madagascar is healing.

And we are here – together.
